A group of 5 of us are already planning on going up to Burnet. We'll sort out the carpooling over the weekend before we leave on Monday. We know we will have to drive two vehicles so we will have 4 extra seats for sure. I will edit this to reflect whether we have space for more to ride in a car or not. If not feel free to offer to drive and allow extra seats to open up. You can definitely ask for gas money. It is a 2-hour drive but goes pretty quickly with others.

Current Extra Seats: 4
Since it’s a Federal Holiday (Columbus Day), most of you should have the day off. The plan is tentative but times are roughly as follows:
-
Leave: 10:00 AM
-
Return: 5:00 PM
We visited a few weeks ago, and it was pretty great. There are three jump-off points with varying heights:
-
5 feet (great for beginners and younger kids)
-
10 feet (great for most people, easily flippable if you know how)
-
20 feet (a bit higher than most beginners would attempt. I have yet to flip off this)
It is a stable lake so the water level does not change much at all confirming it will be safe to jump no matter the day or weather it has had.
I called and they stated the day passes usually get filled up pretty fast on holidays. They said you can purchase the $ 7-day pass ->here<- before Monday so that your entrance is guaranteed, which you can refund at the gate in exchange for the free military pass. The park does have a limit on visitors, so reserving your spot ahead of time is a great idea.
Last time we ate on the way home, but if you want to bring food or anything feel free to! We brought water bottles last time and that worked well for everything.
